How It Works
We operate the web sites on our own servers
and have people who take care of all the technicalities. When you join us, we
set up an individual URL (web address) for your site and provide the web space.
We also build the web pages and arrange for your site to take payments. Once
the site is running we provide maintenance, updating, advertising etc. We also
provide you with space if you want to run your own free site providing it is
relevant and leads potential customers towards your pay area.
In addition we provide your members with
additional content, maintain message boards and other facilities designed to
make them stay around longer.
None of this costs you anything at all.
Visitors come to our main sites or direct to
your own previews or free site. When they decide to join, they make a payment
and gain a password giving them access to your pay site for a period from one
month to six months, depending how much they pay. After their subscription
ends, they are rebilled for a further period unless they decide to cancel
beforehand. All of that happens automatically, as does the cancellation of
their password once a subscription expires.
When any visitor becomes a member, 50% of
the money they pay is set aside for you, the artist or writer. So if they pay
$10, you get $5 with no deductions at all. Similarly, if their subscription
renews, you gain the same perventage of whatever they pay.
The remaining 50% of income pays overheads
such as card transaction costs, web hosting, advertising and all other support
costs. But remember, until your site is selling memberships, we don't make any
money at all. We only make the cash needed to cover our costs and time when you
are also making money. So it's a no-risk proposition for you. If we don't make
you money, you don't lose any either, but we do.
The Next Step
Once you complete the application form, we
create the URL and web space needed for your site. We also set aside an area
where you can transfer files to us, to build your site. These are just the
actual artwork, writing, movies, or whatever. You don't need to make your own
web pages or have any technical knowledge at all.
We then contact you and give you the
information you need to get started, and a list of what we need to create your
previews and your pay site. So joining us can be as easy and painless as
possible, as well as being free. |
