| Being the confused musings or an artist in the erotic vein. |

The actual writing or drawing of erotica, or smut, as the intellectuals call it, is most often done at a table, desk or somesuch. But much of the work, done beforehand, can be done in any number of places. I was taking the subway/elevated train home here in Chicago when I was writing Amaxena, for example. I would sit, with my notebook out, jotting down ideas and dialogue, with perhaps a very rough sketch. The problem arose (sorry) when in pondering the current travail I was planning for poor Amaxena, I would become enthusiastic about her suffering. VISIBLY enthusiastic. I would need to make certain I stopped thinking about her before my station was called, else in standing other riders would see that I had a place to hang my hat, so to speak. Now I'm forced to drive to work, which does allow me to ponder Erika's trials in private. The only danger is that I must take care to grab the right gear shift while shifting...
The delay comes as my scanner finally ceased functioning. I've purchased a replacement, but it will be coming by mail. Until I receive it I cannot do an update. I will try to have much ready when the scanner arrives. Beside the next Erika pages I will have a much requested galley picture.

Now that I've finally gotten a hi speed internet conection, I've been able to double check, and found that a number of pieces I THOUGHT had been uploaded had fallen through the cracks. I've uploaded these, as well as a couple actual new drawings. They should show up in a day or so. NV

I don't even read many blogs regularly, so whether I'll have a lot to say is questionable. But I will use this blog to keep you informed as to what I'm up to, art-wise. I'm up to very little in the real world.
I've finally activated the guestbook so you can talk back.
I've just uploaded eight pictures on the site. And I'm hard at work on the next five pages of ERIKA. The pages are all penciled, with a little inking done, and the lettering is ready to be pasted in. I hope to have them finished by Sunday, October 28. I had hoped to be able to turn out pages quicker, but I find the writer in me can only break the story down in scenes, and not a page at a time. I'm pretty happy with the way it's going, after a rough start. I hope you'll like it, and thank you for your patience.
