Amanda and the Giant Panther was added to my site today...

Here is the introduction to the story...

Anna’s blonde hair blew back into her face as the giant machine pulled up before her. Its large metal head lowered to the ground and purred at her.

“Hello, Mikeko!” Her small fingers looked even smaller as she touched his metallic cheek. “Where is that ruffian master of yours?”

“Right here,” a mischievous voice called from somewhere up on the creature’s back.

“Way up there?” she shielded her eyes from the bright sun above.

“Mikeko can lift you up. We put together something you’ll like.”

“Up there?” she muttered and Mikeko purred again. “You’ll put me up there?” She asked the sleek shiny Black Panther, and he purred again. “Well, ok then, I guess.”

Looking around she couldn’t guess how to climb on top of his head, but Mikeko knew what to do. Slowly he opened his mouth. “Oh?!” She said astonished. It wasn’t as if she didn’t trust the giant android cat, just that climbing into its mouth hadn’t been something she had ever considered. Anna rubbed her arm and stared a moment. Mikeko didn’t take any offense; he seemed to already know this was an unusual request.

“Come on, Anna! Come see your surprise. You know Mikeko won’t eat you, you aren’t even big enough to be a light snack!” the man above chided.

“Yep, I know.” She answered without even considering her normal sarcastic retorts. Patting Mikeko’s lower jaw she stepped into his mouth. Mikeko waited for her to sit on his cool metal tongue and then gently lifted her up. The sand covered land was quickly left behind. As she rose into the air, blue sky surrounded her, and Mikeko kept his movements slow and smooth, like a gentle elevator on a skyway tour.

Moving around to his back, she realized where Argis was – in the middle of Mikeko’s back was a small, aerodynamic, glass room. She could see Argis’ dark hair and leather jacket. Mikeko brought her closer and one of the windows opened up towards the sky while a small platform extended out towards her.

Argis stepped out, patted Mikeko’s metal skin and extended a hand to Anna. “Like so far?” he asked with a grin.

“It’s great!” she exclaimed as he helped her past Mikeko’s battle ready teeth. “The ride was great too.” She turned and petted Mikeko who purred at her again. “WOW!” she exclaimed. “I can feel his purring vibrating through my whole body!”

“I know,” his grin was nearly wicked, “Come on, I want to show you the rest of the surprise.” Holding her hand he led her into the room.
