I am Dieter Der Blau...
When not terrorizing various Rennaissance Faires and Festivals as a German Landsknecht, I'm usually behind the keyboard, mouse and Wacom Tablet, creating artwork... (something my Fiance' isn't ALWAY too thrilled about...)
My Artwork has been slowly moving towards darker and darker horizons, a passage made much more expedient by the introduction of such tools as Photoshop, Poser and Bryce... Tools which have allowed my imagination almost unlimited range and ability. I started drawing when I was a child, and moved slowly through the mediums of colored pencil, watercolor, watercolor pencil, and acrylic paints, pushing my limits, unhindered by schooling or other contamination.
My first real pictures were copies of old Iron Maiden album covers, drawn by hand, followed by much darker subject matter as I spent four years aboard a Destroyer in the USN, sitting in the Persian Gulf waiting to be blown up. Watercolors provided a dim view into my mind for my shipmates who were repelled and facinated at the same time... From there my work spread to the back of every leather jacket I could get a commission for, and warped twisted visions of mine stalked down Los Angeles area streets, including my personal favorite - a piece entitled Jesusfuck, a picture of Christ raping a She-Devil. Six years ago, I got my first taste of computer artwork, or at least what I could do with the tools I'd shunned since high school, having been traumatized at the age of 16 by a completely CGI comic book... From there, I began manipulating pictures I found on the web, testing the tools, seeing what I could do with no formal training of any kind. Soon, the pictures were good enough to pass for stand alone pieces of artwork, and the fix was in.
I now spend anywhere from five to twenty-four hours a day working at the computer, twisting the limits of Poser (and my poor computer), Photoshop, and Bryce, hard at work to create the most vivid and sick images my mind can envision. I also do custom work, both in real mediums and virtual, and can readily create, assimilate, or manipulate any image desired.
I am in the process of converting my VAST body of work into E-book format for Cyberotica... Up on the block currently - HARD-CORE, Volume I!!! Soft-CORE comes next, HARD-WARE will follow... und so weiter und so weiter und so weiter...
