This week we have a  double up at Satellite. Thers the march edition of Slayboy featuring Elke Eban from the Mirror universe, and an updated version of part 1 of the 'Unleashed' comic. Over at Orbit there's a new Solo tale in the shape of 'Planted', on alien world thedanger comes from below. Samples below and it all should be up by late tomorrow evening.

...No one saw fit to argue with that, and when Barbetti said everything he was as good as his word, he wanted the tents and a very sample case loaded, in case there might be another, ‘blue fungus’ among them, it would also cover them in case any of the team did suddenly reappear. The possibility of that diminished with every passing hour and by the time the sun was beginning to set Sonia was more interested in getting back in the shuttle and getting off this increasingly spooky planet.

            She picked up one last box, and grimaced at the weight, “Someone want to give me a hand with this?” She called out, to a response of dead silence. Turning around she saw the other three just standing close to the shuttle, still as statues. A chill went up Sonia’s spine and she let the box tumble to the ground before she spoke again, “What’s going on? Talk to me!”

            There was what might have been a choked off cry from Cortez but none of the three moved. That was too much for Sonia, she turned and ran away from the shuttle, getting a few metres before her foot caught on a suddenly appearing lump in the ground. Sonia went sprawling and didn’t see the soil crack open and something like a thick rubbery vine stretched up and homed on the exposed flesh at her ankle. As it connected the material spread out to make the largest possible area of contact...
